Why join us?

We’re proud of our happy home and are dedicated to creating a place where everyone enjoys coming to work each day.

As well being part of a lively and supportive team, we are surrounded by fascinating residents who also bring so much to our lives every day too.

About the role

As our bistro & lifestyle assistant you will be responsible for preparing snacks such as salads, baked potatoes, paninis, sandwiches and baguettes for residents and guests.  You will help maintain our high standards ensuring our bistro is always clean and safe.  You’ll interact with our residents on a daily basis - so you’ll be friendly, caring and kind whilst respecting our resident’s dignity at all times. You will also help plan and organise a variety of activities for our residents to create a fun and interesting environment for them. You will also offer comfort and company on a one-to-one basis for any residents unable to undertake the activities.

Here’s some other important things you need to know:

· You must be alert at all times to our residents’ physical and mental well being

· Understand and ensure the implementation of the Care Homes Health and Safety policy, and Emergency and Fire procedures.

· Organise and accompany Residents, where possible, to off-site activities, which may occasionally take place out of normal working hours

. Ensure that all catering equipment is in full, safe working order, immediately report any faults to the Maintenance team

. You will need to understand and comply with statutory and legal requirements such as HACCP, Health & Safety, COSHH and Environmental Health
